About Us
Phil Smida II has racing in his blood. Every since he was a little kid, he was always found at the race track with his dad. Being around his father and uncle working on the cars, his passion grew more and more. At the age of 14, he got his first jr. dragster. Phil was very successful in that class. When he turned 18, he won the IHRA division 3 highschool championship. After that accomplishment, he went to Edmond Richardson’s School of Drag Racing. They decided it was time for a full size dragster. After a few years of racing locally and winning some big buck bracket races, he now races NHRA Lucas Oil division 3 and national events in Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. Now a 4X national event winner, he focuses on Intensity Racing Products which started in 2009 with the help of his father and also works for the family business doing security systems.
